Salgado

Not my image I hasten to add but I did take the photo of the front cover of Genesis by Sebastian Salgado.   Today we went to see a film "The Salt of the Earth" which is a documentary of the life of this photographer.   Salgado has been taking photographs for the last 40 years - striking images of humanity all round the world, at work and at war.   More recently he turned to photographing landscapes as a tribute to the beauty of this planet - a project called Genesis.   The film is a "must see" both as the story of a man's life and as a review of his outstanding and moving images.
