Mima's World

By SheilaJellison

There was a glorious sunset this evening as I was driving home from the airport.....unfortunately, I was on the freeway and unable to find a safe place to stop to take a few photos, so stopped on the county road when I was nearly home.  This field caught my eye when we first came back to the lake last week, with it's undulating rows of corn, some looking north and some looking south with their tassles. Rather like a giant green patchwork quilt!  The two primary crops are corn and soy beans, so there are field after field of one or the other.  It's so gorgeous and GREEN here in the summer!!!  (I don't know why it's a little out of focus......probably because the mosquitoes were swarming around my head and biting my hands!!!)
