Great wet summer survivors

Number 3 flower composite this week consists of lavatera on the left which grows very well in a large container. This perennial can become quite large if planted out in good soil and the flowers produced in terminal clusters just keep coming.
Top right was the daffodil bed till late May where there is a plaque to our dearly-loved cat which is buried there. I added a large bag of compost as top soil and planted out these yellow and orange French marigolds. The chrysanthemums planted behind which you  can just glimpse on the right have been wrecked by the rain, but not these little beauties.
Below that plot is a daisy plant that was in full flower in May when I bought it and, when spent, I repositioned it into a border and, lo and behold, it has now got a second lease of life.
And lastly, there is a lovely hebe called 'Neil's Choice' - an evergreen shrub with dense narrow racemes of violet flowers which I expect will carry on flowering till early autumn.
By doing a three day run on my current floral displays I've got a handy record of this year's garden successes at the same period of time.
