Fisher woman of Nairn

What a day!

We picked Stephen up from the Caledonian Sleeper he caught to join us at the orienteering. As we were driving back to drop his bag off at the accommodation he received an email to offer him a Pupillage. Pupillage is the final stage of the route to qualification at the Bar, in which the pupil gains practical training under the supervision of an experienced barrister. To say we were elated is an understatement. There were just over 400 places and several thousand applicants.

This statue is an homage to the fisher women who followed the herring up and down the coast gutting fish and mending nets.
