Busy bees ....

Talking of bees, I got a bee or possibly a wasp in my cycle helmet today. It flew into the vent in the top of the helmet, got stuck between the helmet and my head and decided to lash out. Whilst steering with one hand, I tried to prise my helmet up so that it could get out and stop stinging me. That was a mistake as I veered off the road and into a ditch, coming to a halt only when my chest and face were planted firmly into the bush. Covered in scratches, a bit of bruising and a sore head. I suspect the bee/wasp came off a lot worse.

I need to investigate a helmet net to stop this happening again. I'm going to look like Ena Sharples on a racing bike.
