Chilly

Possible my favourite local alleyway, been there before, etc, etc but never taken with a camera on a phone and on the way to the theatre at 9.30 in the a.m.

The theatre was a play called Swallow at The Traverse, man that place sets its benchmarks high is all I'm saying (and when I got in from that the other grown-up in the house whizzed off to this which sounds like summat of a must-see as well judging from the report I got back from her).

And then in the evening off to see Chilly Gonzales, a man in a dressing gown and slippers playing the piano accompanied by a string quartet. Highly entertaining, particularly liked his illustration of major and minor keys with 'Chariots Of Fire' sounding more like (in his own words) "Warsaw, 1943" in the latter. A definite blurring of the line between 'the man' and 'the act' and his own admission that you needed to be a bit of a psychopath to want to be on stage in the first place spoke volumes.
