Mortified

I was supposed to attend a fund-raising concert today.  I'm upset with myself because I fell asleep in my armchair and have completely missed it!

It was the hail on the roof that woke me.  It's weird outside, one side of the sky is the bright blue of a later winter's day, but the side the hail is coming from is quite ugly.  I tried photographing the ugliness, and the divide between the two but the images came out decidedly uninteresting.  

So I've gone with a weed from my lawn and the blue of the sky.  Certainly a contrast to yesterday's snow image.
