World Orienteering Championships

Unfortunately a lack of wi fi has curtailed my blipping this week. So I am on back blipping duty!

We were staying in Nairn for the week and this was the location for the mixed relay sprint. It was the first time we have stayed in accommodation that had a control at the edge of the garden! However we decided to head for the arena to see how the race unfolded.

The courses started in the narrow strips of dunes before running through the complex streets of Fishertown through the arena and then through the streets and park land to the finish. It made for an exciting spectacle especially as the leading teams were very close going out on the last leg with Denmark eventually holding their nerve to win.
