Horticultural pleasures

Growing from seeds is great fun. Today Knottman has potted on some of the cacti which have grown from seed sown two years ago. These are mixed Rebutias and Mammilaria and they are quite floriferous. They should flower well next Spring and all being well blippers will see the results.

They spend all winter on window sills in the house with a little water once a month. When frosts are over they go into the greenhouse and get water about every ten days. But it is perfectly possible to go on holiday fror three weeks or more and they will be perfectly OK.
