Black Friday

How could you not love calves?  Their innocent looking face puts a smile on my face, but getting over their cuteness, there really hasn't been too much to smile at today.  

Today is Black Friday -  the day where dairy farmers have had their income slashed by thousands of dollars.  It is now costing us to produce milk - but what can we do about it?  Nothing.  The cows still need feeding and milking.  We just have to keep going.

The weather deteriorated this afternoon.  Snow has been falling low on the hills, and the alpine passes are closed for the night. Hopefully we won't wake up to snow on the ground in the morning.
