Moon Walker

The barren landscape left after a glacier has melted, has a moonscape feel to it. This was on the North side of the Col des Chamois, a superb 7 - 8 hour walk/scramble from Pont de Nant. We did not see anyone except at the hut until the last hour of the walk, lots of cows too (extra photo - who is that man with the hat?)The shandy at the final alpage might not have been a good idea, we slept for 2 hours this afternoon! A bit more than a nap.

If you are interested in any other scenes from this walk, there are half a dozen photos on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/hilarysview/? We are really enjoying being on holiday at home this summer!

Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's red darter.
