Patience is a virtue.........

My daily trip backwards and forwards to work takes me over Portsdown Hill, a rural area on the outskirts of Portsmouth here on the South coast.

In any given week i'll probably see three or four raptors hovering over or close to the road, these are generally smaller birds of prey, but occasionally i'll see either a Kite or Buzzard circling overhead. More often than not these bigger birds are being chased or harrassed by a group of Crows or Ravens.

This morning on the way home this guy was sat on a fence close to Fort Nelson.

I've passed Fort Nelson twice a day for the last 10 years, but never actually visited
the Fort. Fort Nelson is one of the Royal Armouries, which is a museum of military firepower.

I'm not working tonight, so i'm back to work on Monday evening. I've got everything crossed, and i'm hoping for some dry weather over the weekend.

Time will tell..............
