Edge
Drove out to Uig on the west coast of Lewis. Another fantastic beach. We were right on the edge of the weather front: looking out to sea it was blue sky and we were walking in sunshine, but turn 180° and the Harris mountains were shrouded in storm clouds. As we stood on the beach we could see the rain hammering down only a few hundred yards away. Meanwhile, back on the sunny side of the divide the kids had stripped off and were swimming in the sea!
Another day when I could have picked any one of a number of photos. I picked this one because I liked the light. I don't think I've ever been anywhere in the UK as photogenic as Lewis and Harris. It's just breathtakingly beautiful.
