An exciting delivery!
Spent the morning in the front garden. Our small patch is looking at its best for the house swappers. Hope they notice it.
I started snipping the hedge yesterday with the hand clippers, so continued today. The hand clippers are not such a good idea when doing the whole hedge, sides'n'all, though it means I can lean on the top of the hedge and chop those hard to get at bits. I was puggled.
Archie was sitting on my lap on the bench in the weak sun while we watched the world go by. I had my iPod on with random oldies - Paul Simon, Roy Orbison, Herman's Hermits (Herman's Hermits??). Every now and again, he would turn to look at me with a puzzled - nay, pained - look on his face. I realised that the looks coincided with me bursting into - well, I can't say 'song' - but more of a tuneless drone. In fact, a sound which obviously was not pleasant to a dog's ears. Or a human's ears, but I made sure there were no humans nearby.
My mum was a fine singer, soloist in the church choir, sang at all the rellies' weddings, and in amateur dramatics. I did not inherit any of her musical ability, a fact I am deeply disappointed by.
Bailey's mum came to pick Archie up for a last run up the Hill together for a while. :-(
Anyway, very good news this afternoon. The repaired Olympus camera arrived as promised! Just in time for Friday's adventure. I am so pleased.
Here's Archie admiring the garden. He's very good now, and doesn't go stomping all over the flowers. Much.
