Shearing Sheep

It's been a windy day but packed full of sunshine and warmth :)

I was meant to be in the office today but due to staff shortages, I've been down on the main desk in the museum.  It's been a quiet day after yesterday but still a steady flow of people through the door.  We have also had some bairns workshops and they've been busy doing weaving.
Pop along sister Laura's after tea to congratulate my nieces Megan and Eve for passing their exams in 4th and 5th year with loads of As and Bs :)
Off out to work in the pub later, again.  Last night was quieter than usual, 65 men have been moved from Scalloway to Lerwick, woo hoo :)

I nipped home at lunchtime.  On my way back to work, Billy Halcrow of Aithsetter was busy at work shearing sheep.  It seems a bit late in the year but with the poor summer, some jobs have been delayed.  Billy is seen here using electric shears, a lot quicker and less nips for the sheep :)  Taken at the Aithsetter junction, Cunningsburgh.
