Dotty
I went to see my friend and Dotty's owner, June, this afternoon after I learnt that whilst we were away she had been airlifted to hospital after being repeatedly thrown in the air and nearly trampled to death by a cow whilst she and the dogs were walking on a public right of way when she was on holiday on the Gower Coast. Fate intervened as two walkers who found June a little while after the accident were doctors and were therefore able to call for immediate help and also look after Dotty and Tess, which they continued to do until some of June's neighbours drove from Shropshire to Swansea to pick them up and take them home. June had to stay in hospital for 9 days, 3 of which were in high dependency, having sustained several broken ribs, a punctured lung and an awful lot of bruising. What an ordeal they've all had but I'm glad to say that everyone's home now, June is on the mend although it will be a few more weeks until those ribs heal and she can drive again. Her cameras didn't fare too well from the cow attack either and a visit to Jessops is imminent!
