Voodoo Ray

Well, we had a weekend in a day, so many different parts of it that it was hard to pick a photo to use.

Morning, beach walk, then off out in the car to discover something I'd found online ... Sandyhills beach. We found a massive dead ray - we called him Ted, there's a cultural reference for the kids. We went in search of The Needle's Eye sea arch following the cliff path and ended up really high above it with a fabulous view. Back to the bottom and walked out around the cliffs on the wet sand, which was firmer than it had looked and lo and behold, there it was.

We spent hours in Sandyhills, had a cuppa and then drove off around the coastal towns. Turned a corner and found this boy. He's been constructed for the Wicker Man Festival in July when he'll be set alight, poor old fella.
