Back on the moor.
Another walk on Harden Moor this morning. It was really warm and it was nice to find a breeze once we got out onto the exposed moor.
The skies weren't as spectacular as Friday so I concentrated on the flora. The heather is coming but not yet at it’s best. Here you can see a mixture of heather and ling in amongst the bilberry bushes and bracken. Some of the bracken is very high and we had to wade through it on our way back down through Ryecroft.
Not something I enjoy and one reason why I am less keen on walking at this time of year in certain areas. Still it was a lovely walk and it is the third time I have been up here in less than two weeks. It won't be the last especially as the heather increases in colour!
