Six-spot Burnet Moth

At least I think it is a six. If anyone out there thinks its a five I would be pleased to know.

This one was on top of Arnside Knott this morning. Quite common of course but nevertheless attractive with colour contrast.

I have passed on to Mrs.K. everyone's kind words about about her ability to persuade the Gatekeeper to close its wings and turn sideways. One friend referred to her as Mrs. Doolittle. A more inaccurate name I could not imagine.
