Twitching!
We had an exciting day today! We went to see a breeding pair of Bee-eaters in North Cumbria!
The RSPB have set up a field car park next to a sand quarry.
You can walk round behind the quarry and stand with the twitchers who are very helpful and point out where to look and let you peep through their very expensive telescopes.
We were lucky enough to see one of the birds for quite a while, sitting on a fence with a large bee in its beak.
Then we went on to a CWT reserve and saw Marsh Helleborines! In the rain....
Great day!
