Sunshine on Stromness
Not only have we the worry over yet another car problem, with the limitation that might impose should it need hospital treatment, but His Lordship is suffering what I call his holiday syndrome, a general malaise at being adrift from all routines familiar.
Even the balmy almost tropical weather today, and the availability of the Sunday Papers before midday have done little to lift his mood. I'm hoping that the acclaimed afternoon tea at the Standing Stones Hotel in Stenness will prove beneficial, provided of course the car does not break down en route.
I had a quick scribble at the harbour this morning before an exploratory walk round the policies to Copeland's Pier to blip Stromness from the seaward side.
A lovely walk it was too, and all the better for not meeting any tourists off the two buses parked at the harbour.
