Meiji Shrine
*backblip
This was a shot I took when I visited the Meiji Shrine, located in Shibuya. (Not a great photo, I know. I can probably do a better job nowadays.)
This is a sacred tree in the shrine, indicated by the rope around the tree trunk, and surrounding the trunk is a wall of ema. Ema are wooden plaques onto which people write their prayers or wishes. The priests of the shrine then pray to the gods that the wishes come true.
