Nearing harvest?

It is surprising how quickly the cornfields suddenly change colour as harvest time draws closer. One then starts to get anxious about the long term weather  forecast - are we in for a wet period after all this dry weather ....  the short bout of heavy rain we had did a lot of good on the farm and hopefully the grass will grow for the livestock but it did flatten some of the crops whose grain has now swollen.
