Tourists on our doorstep

Buncle and Es were off with their friends today so Mr R, the wee boys and I headed into Stirling. Initial thought was to walk the back walk to see the recently added sculptures carved into the trunks of felled trees. Then we kept on walking and ended up doing part of the Gowan Hill Heritage Trail. It was very good. Accessed some of the podcasts too using the QR codes on the information boards.

Reminisced with the boys about one day Aunty Gill and I had been up the hill and I stumbled as I was running down and got a pair of very gravely skint knees. Ruined a pair of blue cords with Abba patches on the knees. Aunty Gill's version of those were brown cords with Womble patches. Patches were all the rage in the 70's.

Stopped off for a wee ice-cream before we headed home:-)
