Ghent at night

Today was a lot sunnier and warmed up slightly during the day, so it was a day of outdoor activities.

After breakfast we all went on a boat tour around the canals, very interesting. Then we all (apart from Mr C) hired bikes for a couple of hours cycle around the town. For somebody that hasn't ridden a bike for about 30 years, I was amazed that I managed it. I have to admit the start was incredibly shaky and I thought I would be returning the bike straight away but I persevered and was pleased that I didn't fall off!!

Extras... Gate bridge where visitors to the town had to stop here to pay their taxes and a sculpture we passed on our boat trip.
