Mallard in the making....

I was checking out the latest coot family on the lake at Trentham Gardens, when five very sweet mallards slowly and quietly waddled up to me. They were followed by a slightly larger female. I realised then they were her ducklings, who had grown into mini versions of her. This is one of them sitting and waiting patiently for food. Unfortunately I didn't have anything to give them.
