I didnt expect much of today, as of yesterday. But I made a late decision to accept an invitation to play and that decision resulted in a really great day. We left home after some lovely piano practice, some challenges and some reading - I really enjoy seeing how much she wants to pack into a morning's jobs. We headed to Scarborough to meet up with the Postnatal group Mums. 6 years on nearly and we still regularly get together. The kids have literally known each other their whole lives and have a great time. We met at soft play and they charged happily for nearly 3 hours. Lunch was a wonderful shared experience of "everyone pile in their packup, share it out and add a pizza". They thought it was brilliant. 

After soft play, we went to Grandad and Granny's who had managed to fit an afternoon off. We decided on a nice walk round Peasholm Park. We had a pleasant time pottering and feeding the ducks - I had a nice shot of her energetically feeding them with a huge jump. But then we got some monkey nuts and the extra fab fun began - hand feeding some gorgeously tame little squirrels. It was adorable. She fed loads until one slightly nipped her. Then she let them come right up to her but just stopped short of letting them on her hand. She loved it. 

We came home to theirs for her favourite tea and she's curled up in the recliner reading her book quietly.
