Olympic Torch

Today was Stirling's day for the torch relay. We chose to see it arrive at the Castle -- 6 month old Rebecca included. I would have to say that the Castle event was all a bit of a let down and very disappointing . The organisation was poor and I felt sorry for many of those who had waited to see the torch only for the bearer to be delivered by car to the Esplanade. Who made this decision I wonder?
did no one foresee the problem that a disabled person might have walking all the way up to the castle?
Photographic opportunities were afforded primarily to the press -- I have no problem with this but it should have been possible for the general public to get pictures too. Of the pictures I managed to get I have used Diptec to create a suitable blip.
