Engine out....engine in....will it start?

My son's car has sat here since it broke down in January. He's had several goes at fixing it. Yesterday his mechanic friend helped remove the engine and they did some repairs. Today they have replaced the engine but at the moment it's still not sparking, hopefully they will get it going this time.
