Baking

Two things happened today. We went to hospital to meet Mr Sugarman, one of the paediatric surgeons at LGI. Had a funny moment on the way in when the nurse (whilst suspiciously looking me up and down) asked me to be measured and weighed...I was clearly not a child and I had to explain the child in question was still in my belly! Anyhoo the surgeon was ace. Grrrrrrrrreat manner, explained things simply, answered all our questions, reminded us that 95% of gastro babies are totally fine and we'd deal with the issues that 5% are faced when and if we have to.

I then came home and made courgette and lemon cupcakes, using courgettes from the garden no less. The jury's out on taste. Ben ate half of one and handed it back to me. They're either underdone or the courgettes are really watery and that needs you be taken into account for future bakes. I'll see how they taste tomorrow and am bobbing back to the office then to clear my desk so should be able to palm some off there.
