Danced in tune together....

we attended the memorial for our friend 's  husband whose died so suddenly at only 64.  He was so active in so many facets of life , and then he quietly slipped away in his sleep.  He was an activist , a world traveler, a singer in many choirs, a leader and man of action,an avid and knowledgeable gardener, a rower, a hiker and a partner for over 30 years to our dear friend.  His wife and Big R first met at a Mexican social services agency they worked at in the late l970's.  Then she became an interpreter for the court system when the social service agency went belly up .   She is such a vivacious positive person in her own rights and will carry on the legacy of him as well as continue her very full life...but now on her own.  So today these rose hips have the one representing her that is more in focus...holding on to the other--him but fading out a bit into the background.   But still together in the dance of life they so fully both participated in.  The place was so full last night ....people pouring out into the open gardens areas....a life that touched so many who came comforting our friend and wife he left...a comforting blanket of love.
