Damp

Bit of a muddy walk this morning. It wasn't exactly raining, but everywhere was completely soaked and both dogs came back looking like they'd decided to go to one of those fancy spa places and take a mud bath.

Day Two of short-term bachelor lifestyle saw me engaged in such exciting tasks as Loading The Dishwasher and Emptying The Bin. Hope Mme Tepeka and the kids are having more fun...

And it was a bit of a Mac disaster day too. I was due to take my MacBook into the Genius Bar (I love the way they call it that) today to get a graphics problem sorted. While I was backing it up in case they wipe the hard disk or lose it or something, my iMac broke! There was a load cracking noise, and now the bit that's supposed to hold the screen up doesn't. It just flops at a sad angle. Which is a very embarrassing problem for any self-respecting iMac.

But, of course, I can't get it fixed until the MacBook comes back. And that'll be a week and 700 quid, please. I had a really good spell where the Geniuses kept fixing stuff for free, even though the gear was well out of warranty. My luck seems to have run out, however...

But other than mud, dull household chores and technology mishaps, not much happened. Probably just as well.
