Vasconcelos Versailles

Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos is the first woman to have her work shown at Versailles in their contemporary art installation series (one artist per summer, since 2008).

Ch had the day off school today so we took a chance on the weather and went to Versailles with H. While H toured the palace, we rented bikes and went for a fun ride along the grand canal. We had a nice lunch all together in the gardens and walked around the hameau de la reine. The rain didn't come until we were back at the apartment, sitting down to dinner. It seems to have stopped now and H who has gone out to the Louvre tonight! Her energy is astounding!
