Just hanging around

Waiting for my escort just off the A40/A48 roundabout where it splits to go to Ross (A40) or Forest of Dean & Chepstow (A48).
A couple of us had agreed to meet up there and ride together to Ross for a 'Veterans Tea party' hosted by the Ross on Wye RBL Branch.
It was a lovely afternoon with 8 of us (see extra photo), but because of the rain there was only 1 (one) Bike !!! (muggins here). So I had a motorised escort with cars in front and behind me :-)
It did rain on the way but the afternoon turned sunny and I had a lovely ride back to Gloucester nice and dry. It did start raining again later so the Bike did not get the planned wash down and brush up.

During todays event there was a Brass Band and the Ross Choristers, both excellent and very entertaining.
We, the riders, all helped out serving tea and coffee to the Veterans and their husbands, wives and carers to save them getting up and queueing, many of them were very elderly.
