A Burnt Out Case

Not the Graham Greene novel of the same name (though I would recommend it), but the village house that was burned out to a shell last year.  Because our village has listed status, the insurers paid for it to be restored using materials and techniques sympathetic to the original.  So, for 9 months now various artisans have come and gone doing their bit to make this lovely old house come back to life.  The roof, in particular, is a real work of art.  Last minute bits and bobs today in preparation for our visitors who arrive tomorrow.
