The goslings are growing up

Another working day in Derby today so I decided to head back to Alvaston Park to check up on my coot friend (see 14th May). She's still there proudly occupying her nest (I keep assuming it's a she) but sadly still no eggs.

I also came across the crêche of goslings that I first blipped on 28th May. They are growing up fast but are still being chaperoned by six adults. While I watched them they kept straying close to another pair with a much younger couple of goslings and were agressively seen off each time.

One day the coot may star again as my blip, but today she has to make way again for the goslings.
