The Adventure Begins!

Having washed and dried everything they were wearing at the BBQ last night, which was well and truly kippered by the smoke from the Cheminier, Grace and John were ready for off on their Scottish adventure after breakfast.

More of an adventure than planned. Having packed up ready to drive here from Bristol late on Thursday night they discovered that the two weeks booked at the 'wee hoose' in NW Scotland were from next weekend not this! The house belongs to John's uncle but there was a hitch over dates and someone else is there this week. Luckily they found out before getting there and so spent yesterday planning where to go next week.

They have a two man tent with them as they were planning a bit of camping further north so now, having booked ferries and sites yesterday, are following the route we took in early July but the other way around through Skye and the Outer Hebrides (Harris and Lewis). I was able to tell them where some of the great camp sites and sights we had seen were.
They will still have a week to look forward to at the house from the beginning of August.

They couldn't postpone the trip by a week as John has made all his arrangements at work and Grace has to be back for a trip to see a friend in Washington DC the second week in August!

They are spending tonight with another relative in Kintail, Wester Ross before crossing to Skye on Sunday. I hope it is a great adventure with some decent weather!

We've had fun seeing them and will catch up when they return in two weeks time.
