Another test

Annual visit to optician today (glaucoma in family)
Was referred to hospital last year as I have macular degeneration in left eye.  Told today that it is a small hole and was able to see the photographic evidence on the screen.  I marvel at how much information is available to us these days.
Suggested that I look at this square every day to detect any central loss of vision early as prompt attention is then needed.  Was assured that no problems are expected with me but who knows!!
Good news is that my prescription is unchanged so I do not have to take out a mortgage to pay for new lenses.
Whilst there, another patient was trying on new frames and said he could get a holiday for the same price, only problem being if he didn't get the glasses he wouldn't be able to see anything on a holiday!
