Ring Man

We used to live in Cincinnati. When my twin daughters were 2-6 years old, we would get up early every Saturday morning and go to Fountain Square. There was a scraggly old man who sold spoon rings off of a milk crate 2/50-cents.  We would buy rings and have milk and donuts, then walk through the city.  The extra is my daughter Jess riding a cardboard box down the nearby  cement slide nearby on one of these mornings.

The Tyler Davidson fountain is a memorial given by his  business partner Henry Probasco.  The Genius of Water was created in Munich by, August von Kreling and  Ferdinand von Miller at the Royal Bronze Foundry of Bavaria.  It’s been the symbolic center of Cincinnati since 1871.
