Nuremberg
Having stayed local so far this week, today was a bit of an adventure as we drove up through Bavaria to visit the Documentation Centre in Nuremberg on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds. The girls found the historical elements of Berlin we visited last summer useful with their school studies. Annie and I, having visited Nuremberg back at Easter, thought this would also be good for them and they both got a lot from the visit. The centre presents the history very factually and the ability to actually see some of the key locations really brings an extra sense to what you've read.
The blip is at the Zeppelin Field, often seen in documentaries and now part of a motor racing circuit. There is an extra photo too which is the Congress Hall where the documentation centre is held.
It's a sobering experience but we all came away more knowledgeable than we started the day and agreed the drive had been worth it.
