Hidden Treasure

Under the entrance to the Humber Bridge, beside it's banks lies a hidden treasure. The Humber Bridge Country Park is an absolute delight. We have been here quite a few times. But today we found something new. A treasure hidden within a treasure. This wonderful small lake totally delighted the girls. They had such a happy, glorious time splashing and playing in the sunshine. We picnicked under a huge tree from the rain and returned after to splashing and laughter. They cartwheeled and chased and just generally enjoyed being as children should in a summer holiday! Outside, carefree and happy. We moved on to find another lovely area with sculptures that could be played on, logs that could be walked. They spent a while making their own musical instruments from a variety of natural items. We walked and climbed banks, we explored paths and tunnels. And of course the afternoon ended with lollies.
