"No flies on Bud"

Unfortunately this wasn't true today. He was pursued by a swarm of annoying buzzing insects all the way along the path, they even bothered him on the hill inspite of the wind. Poppy wasn't attracting any at all, so it was a good grooming when we got home followed by a nice (!!!) bath for the grubby boy. I had been congratulating myself and him that he hadn't rolled in anything unsavoury for a few days, but obviously the flies knew better.
