Homeward bound

I'm loading this at Wellington Airport waiting for our boarding for Christchurch, then a two hour drove home. Should be home by 10.30 pm (hopefully)

I dropped Ella and Harry at school at 8.30am then Doug and I drove into the city to view the Gallipoli exhibition at Te Papa. Found a park, entered the building having to give our bags to security then upstairs to the exhibition,
Holy hell (and it was) this is something I will never forget. Peter Jackson (of Lord of the Rings fame) figures were as real as they ever could be, incredible. I took photos on my phone, but haven't looked at them as yet. Tried the camera wth a 6400 ISO but not great so resorted to doing pano on the iPhone, much better. Yah for phones.
This left me feeling very somber, thoughtful and tearful.
Take a seat Lorraine and compose yourself and I did..while sitting I saw this photo opportunity of the reflections on the floor, 2 pictures taken. Blip sorted
Oh and btw. There was a fire alert and we had to evacuate the building for 30 min or so, I did smell burning.

Collected the children from school, sorted the washing, packed, Janelle has dropped us off, we have a 30 minute wait until boarding.

A fun nine days in Wellington, but I'm always ready for home.

Hopefully will be able to spend some time with your journals over the coming days.

Rainie
