Maggie-Jean

It's been a fine enough day, dry and fairly calm but it's been fairly dull and overcast for most of the day.

I'm feeling much better now and hopefully that's the cold gone for now :)
I had a lazy start to the day but finally pulled myself out of bed and got out with Sammy.  After lunch, I headed to see friends big Brian and Madeline, they are heading away tomorrow on the boat with the caravan and then me and peerie Brian went along friends Anita and Adrian to clear things from their garden.  I got some lovely old pots for plants, a garden bench in need of some TLC and a statue.
Been out and about for a big walk with Sammy this evening and now it's time for feet up and get ready for the new week to begin.

My new additions to the garden have settled in fine, including this statue.  I've named her Maggie-Jean but think she's looking a bit chilly for the Shetland weather.  I might have to get her a Shetland wirset gansey, some makkin wires and maybe a kishie on her back :)  Her previous view was just in the back garden of a house in Scalloway, looking through trees and shrubbery.  Now she has a great sea view and looking onto my neighbours as well, hopefully they'll not spot her 'cheeky' side :)  Taken in my garden at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
