A large skipper on lavender, what a fab combination! I went for a walk in the fields behind where I live this aft. Until this year they have been barley crops, now it's rapeseed. I miss the wonderful 'sensoriness' of the barley but it seems like the rapeseed has been left with the consequence that there are more wild flowers than normal...poppies and a small path of cornflowers! My extra today is one of those beautiful cornflowers... :)
