Summer break

Taking a summer break. We drove today to Weggis/Hertenstein which is only a 45 minute drive away but offers a completely different scenery. It is at the Vierwaldstättersee close to Lucerne. The mountains are higher (Rigi, Pilatus), the water colder and clearer and the lake is deeper and wider. One does not need to go far to feel on holiday. The steam paddler Uri was just passing by when I came out of the water.

Swimming and sunbathing all afternoon at the beach before we headed to Lucerne for Italian dinner at Barbatti and to the Blueballs Festival. We enjoyed a wonderful Melody Gardot concert at the KKL on a delightful summer evening with 25C at midnight.
