Nee naw! nee naw!

We had a fab afternoon out today at the fire station open day. A was so excited to see the nee naws but when we got up close he got a bit scared! I think they are much bigger then he had anticipated! He soon got over his fear and was eager to join in. There was loads going on and P wanted to try everything. We sat in the fire engine, had a slide on the firemans pole, put out a fire with the hose, dressed up as paramedics in an ambulance, watched a chip pan demonstration and lots of other things! The fire service really put on a great event and I think children and adults alike would have learnt a lot about the fantastic work they do.
And it goes without saying that the kiddies wanted to watch Fireman Sam tonight before bed!
