View from Clackmannan Tower
This was taken from the tower looking south-east. The river is the Forth and the nearest bridge is the new Clackmannan bridge with the further one being the old Kincardine bridge. In the distance is Grangemouth with all its woodyards and(much more obviously) its petro-chemical complexes.
The tower is sadly not open to the public following subsidence damage in the 1950's. In fact, looking at the tower from the path up, it has quite a distinct lean to one side! The views from the top though, should be spectacular.
We were out and about quite a bit today and the weather was kind to us. It looked like rain on a couple of occasions but a few odd drops was all we saw. Our garden also received some attention ahead of our annual barbecue proposed for Sunday.
Weather permitting!
