Coast Path Closed!

Sometimes I despair at the powers that be?!  I know I’m only a common little collie but honestly who makes these decisions?

For the past few weeks the coast path between St Ives & Clodgy Point has been closed.  Ann looked on the SWCP website for me to see when it would be re-opened because it’s one of my favourite places to go walking.  On the website it says it’s closed for repairs & improvement work.  Ie, the path is perfectly safe at the moment and it hasn’t fallen into the sea so the work is not urgent.

On the website it says it will re-open mid July so we thought  that the work would be done in time for the busiest 6 weeks of the year; which is now (mid July) until the end of August.

But guess what?........................  Off I went for my walk this afternoon and the coast path is still closed and now there is a sign saying that it’s going to be closed for six weeks.  Just how stupid is that?  This must be one of the busiest sections of the whole coast path because people on holiday in St Ives like to walk out to Clodgy Point and then walk back again.  And also there’s another sign saying, don’t attempt to walk past this sign because you will be turned back.  Well......................... what we would like to know is........................... who is going to turn us back?  ...........Because as far we know, the council plonked their machinery there a few weeks ago, and we haven’t seen anyone since????

Anyway today we obeyed the rules and I had my walk along another section of the coast path.

Can’t say that we won’t be disobeying the rules in the future.  Lol!
