Venice - Murano

Today we took the 4.1 water taxi to the Island of Murano.

This island is famous for most of the pieces of glass that are sold in Venice. It was a lovely quiet(er) place to walk around. We went in a couple of the workshops to watch the craftsmen at work - so skilled. It was very hot watching them and made the 33C outside seem cooler!!

The blip is of the comet glass star that was designed by a Master to celebrate Christmas 2007.
